Michael Sigala, Principal

Michael has extensive experience in urban planning, economics, residential and mixed-use development.  Michael has conducted numerous analyses for valley jurisdictions related to redevelopment, housing, and infrastructure projects. He is actively involved in many Valleywide regional planning and transportation initiatives for our eight-county San Joaquin Valley. See Clients/Projects (hyperlink) for specific details.

He is the former Housing and Community Development Manager for the City of Fresno where he successfully managed the creation of over 1,000 new affordable housing units, numerous programs, and housing policy analyses and implementation.  Michael was the driving force behind Fresno’s first downtown housing project in over 25 years, and is the recipient of numerous awards and recognition for his relentless service to the Fresno community.

Michael's experience also spans several years of private consulting with the California companies of Keyser Marston Associates and BAE.  He has had considerable involvement in urban redevelopment projects and public financing in communities throughout California.  Specific project experience includes base reuse at the Presidio of San Francisco and the Alameda Naval Air Station, urban housing and development negotiations, and redevelopment tax allocation bond financing for numerous jurisdictions..

Michael holds a Bachelors of Economics and a Masters of City and Regional Planning from the University of California at Berkeley.  Michael is a native of Fresno.

 


 

Marisa Sigala, Principal

Over the past 17 years Marisa has been involved in various capacities of housing including residential and governmental development, projects architecture, project management, urban planning, assisted living for the elderly, acquisition and rehabilitation, affordable housing, property management, construction contract administration and program administration and compliance.

 

Marisa holds a bachelors degree in Architecture and Masters Degree in City and Regional Planning from the University of California at Berkeley.
